Congratulations to Andrea Connelley who started the Dracut chapter of End 68. Andrea was chosen for the January 2021 “Hero Among Us” award sponsored by Thantawan Thai Restaurant. Andrea was chosen by December’s award recipient Lyndie Shaw. Here is what is said about Andrea,
Andrea and her team that started the Dracut chapter of “End 68 Hours of Hunger” are the reason many families sleep better on weekends, knowing their children are fed while away from school breakfast and lunch for 68 hours of the weekend (and the summer). Andrea launched the program and is entirely devoted to it, hosting fundraisers, craft fairs, calendar drives, Bingo and more — all with the simple belief that no child should be hungry. If it were not for her efforts and that of her team, that could have potentially happened right here in Dracut.
