End 68 Hours of Hunger
is a private, not-for-profit, volunteer effort to confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school on Friday afternoon and the free breakfast they receive in school on Monday morning.
As of January 2013, the Seacoast area programs are serving nearly 500 children per week in Dover, Somersworth, Portsmouth, Alton, Barnstead, Barrington, Milton, Hampton, Kittery, Maine, Eliot, Maine and soon to be in Exeter and in York, Maine.
100% of the donated funds received purchases food for these children. All efforts are voluntary! No one gets paid!
